Marie Josette Orsto was the first tiwi woman to develop a design specifically for the use of screenprinting at Tiwi Design in 1994. Kulama is important ceremony. Tiwi ceremonial leaders sing about good marriage, give Tiwi names, good hunting and everything that has happened in the community.
